||| July 2, 2004 | Maxus Construction Completes LA-Z-BOY Furniture Galleries


Pelham, AL- Maxus Construction Company is pleased to announce the completion of La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries located at the intersection of U.S. 280 and Highway 119. Bill Morris, who owns four La-Z-Boy stores in the Birmingham and Chattanooga area, will open a 30,000 square-foot furniture showroom on July 9th and have a Grand Opening on July 10th. The showroom will include a La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries store and a Kincaid Home Furnishings Gallery. Construction was completed in late June. Paul B. Krebs & Associates was the Architect for the job. Ron Fortenberry served as Project Manager and Danny St. Clair was the Superintendent for Maxus Construction.

 

||| July 2, 2004 | Maxus Construction Begins Laser Tag at Pelham Retail Shops


Pelham, AL- Maxus Construction Company is pleased to announce the beginning of a tenant build out at the Pelham Retail Shops location off Hwy 31 in Pelham, AL. The new retail center is located directly in front of Oak Mt. Lanes bowling alley and will consist of 10,500 SF for a new Laser Tag facility and another 10,000 SF of leasable retail space. Construction started in mid June and set to finish in late July. George M. Phillippi is the Architect for the job. Bill Clay is serving as Project Manager and Mike Bodkin is the Project Superintendent for Maxus Construction.

 

||| May 19, 2004 | Maxus Construction Completes Grace Community Church


Pelham, AL- Maxus Construction Company is pleased to announce the completion of an addition for Grace Community Church located in Remlap, AL. The facility consists of approximately 13,000 SF which includes a new sanctuary, classrooms and several offices. The addition was necessary after a fire burned down part of the old sanctuary a year ago. Construction was completed in April. Byron Davis was the superintendent for the project and Bobby Laughlin served as project manager. Mark Lindsay was the Architect for the Grace Community Church.

 

||| May 19, 2004| Maxus Construction Begins Pinehaven Baptist Church


Pelham, AL- Maxus Construction Company is pleased to announce the ground breaking of an addition for Pinehaven Baptist Church located in Birmingham, AL. The facility will mainly consist of classrooms to help support the Church’s growth. Construction started in April. Rob Bazzell is the superintendent for the project and Bobby Laughlin is serving as project manager.

 

||| October 4, 2003 | Maxus Construction Completes Trussville Veterinary Clinic


Pelham, AL- Maxus Construction Company is pleased to announce the completion of a 5,000 square foot professional building for Main Street Veterinary Clinic located on US Highway 11 in Trussville, AL.  This new facility consists of approximately 60 new kennels, a dog and cat ward, grooming area, surgery/treatment room and several exam rooms.  Construction started in April.  Danny St. Clair is the superintendent and Bill Clay is the project manager.  Mark Lindsay is the architect for the Trussville Veterinary Clinic. 

 

||| October 4, 2003 | Maxus Construction Constructs Touch of Class Plaza


Pelham, AL- Maxus Construction Company is pleased to announce construction of a new retail center located in Fultondale, AL.  Sam and Judy Hall are developing the 10,000 square foot center that consists of 10 separate tenant spaces.  The plaza is located off Highway 31 near the Walker's Chapel Road exit.  Mike Bodkin is the project superintendent and Bill Clay is the project manager.  Bob Gray, with KREBS Architects, designed the center. 

 

||| October 4, 2003 | Maxus Construction Builds Turning Point Dormitory


Pelham, AL- Maxus Construction Company is the general contractor for a men's dormitory called "Turning Point," located in Thorsby, AL.  The facility is a 90 day in-house, faith-based alcohol and drug abuse recovery center for men.  The new 8,000 square foot dormitory will double the size of housing capacity available for men.  Danny St. Clair is the project superintendent and Bill Clay serves as the project manager.  Mark Lindsay designed the center.  Work is scheduled to complete mid-November 2003.
